about

Milk House Roastery is Farm to farm coffee.

Our process begins at the source– the farmer who grows the coffee plants, harvests the fruit, and processes the beans that will eventually end up in our roaster.

We understand the husbandry involved in small, family run agriculture. As small scale farmers ourselves, it is our goal to support small coffee growers who share similar practices and values as us. We understand the work that goes into raising crops, and it is this knowledge that determines the care and attention we take when roasting our beans.

Roasting is just one small element in the origin of a coffee bean– by roasting a coffee bean well, it is our hope to highlight the origin, the grower, and the processor of these beans for you to taste in your cup.

Mike and Lynda Foster established Milk House Roastery in the spring of 2020 with the goal to roast really good coffee and share that with their community. We have been able to do that, all from our tiny milk house. It has become known by locals as the "Shepard Settlement Social Club" Stop by and experience Farm to farm coffee for yourself!

The Dahlia must be homegrown or locally grown to you

What we mean: if you do not grow dahlias, but your neighbor, grandmother, sister, friend etc. Feel free to enter their stems. This event is ultimately about participation and inclusion.

The goal is to have a barn full of beautiful blooms in glass bottles-- with conversation surrounding the joys & beauty of dahlias in our lives!

Enjoy a coffee and peruse the blooms

We will serve baked goods and coffee. We will also have a curated shopping experience while you admire the stems!
