Farm → farm coffee.

Milk House Roastery is a coffee roaster located on Shepard Settlement Farm in Marcellus, NY. We see roasting coffee as both a craft and culinary endeavor. The craft–– a tacit knowledge and sensorial experience that is honed by the practice of roasting. The culinary–– the understanding of the raw product and the reactions that occur in each step of the roasting process.

We are committed to supporting small scale coffee farmers and producers in coffee growing regions around the world. We extend our local values into the global coffee market to responsibly and sustainably source our beans.

An elevated coffee experience.

We meticulously roast each batch of coffee using a profile we develop in order to emphasize the best flavors and characteristics inherent in each origin and varietal. We roast a variety of single origin coffees that pair with various brewing methods and appeal to a range of customer tastes. Our methods ensure consistency in every roast, which means a quality cup of coffee however you choose to brew.

Recently, we were recognized as one of the top coffee roasters in central New York and featured as an Extraordinary Place by Carrie Lazurus on WSYR.

This is light hearted festival to bring fellow gardeners and curious neighbors together. It is our hope to have our old barn bursting with colorful blooms and to create some good old fashioned fun!

The Dahlia must be homegrown or locally grown to you

What we mean: if you do not grow dahlias, but your neighbor, grandmother, sister, friend etc. Feel free to enter their stems. This event is ultimately about participation and inclusion.

The goal is to have a barn full of beautiful blooms in glass bottles-- with conversation surrounding the joys & beauty of dahlias in our lives!

Enjoy a coffee and peruse the blooms

We will serve baked goods and coffee. We will also have a curated shopping experience while you admire the stems!
