We are happy to partner directly with A COFFEE COMPANY and the Meneses Family to offer this unique coffee from the Huila district. This coffee highlights our goal to partner with family farm producers and roast their crop on our family farm here in New York.
THE BOURBON VARIETAL originated from the Reunion islands previously Bourbon, it is sought after in the specialty coffee industry for its superior cup quality and is adapted well Colombia for it requires high-altitude, nutrient-rich, volcanic soils. Its susceptibility to coffee leaf rust and berry disease requires intensive care, leading to higher prices compared to more disease-resistant varieties. Bourbon is one of two main varietals (the other being Typica) that many new cultivars are bred from.
